    "Wonderful older established affordable neighborhood. Nice trees, nice neighbors, nice homes. Most homes in the area have original woodwork, wood floors, built ins. The area is great for all; singles, couples, families, retirees. A great mix of ages. Low crime. My grandmother lived in this area for many years. My parents have owned three homes in the area over the years. Still a favorite area in East Des Moines. Close to downtown, restaurants, shopping, easy access to most main highways. Centrally located.
