Our experience with Cooley has been anything but spectacular. My daughter started there last year and we’ve had consistent issues with bullying, safety concerns, and threats of sexual assault from other students. The administration either does not take things seriously and dismisses concerns, is too incompetent to do anything about it, or cannot manage the students that attend that school. Schools in our former district had a fraction of the issues that we’ve experienced at Cooley. It’s been a very frustrating experience - we’ve had 2 threats of violence with a weapon in less than a week and no reassuring actions have been taken from the school to ensure our students safety. The office often chastises parents and struggles with a superiority complex - all the while students run that campus however they choose.

There’re some wonderful teachers but obviously the principal doesn't care much about supporting the needs of students, and disciplining the bullies. They care more about swiping them under the rugs and pretending things are wonderful. She is not a very good and caring principal.

Oakmont High School offers a well-rounded environment where students can truly succeed both academically and athletically. One of the standout features is the Health Careers Academy, which gives students early exposure to the medical field, hands-on learning opportunities, and a clear pathway for those interested in healthcare professions. This program not only builds practical skills but also sets students apart when applying to colleges or pursuing future careers. Overall, Oakmont High School provides a strong community where students can grow, achieve, and prepare for the future.
