Jo Ann (the vice principal) is a bully and demonstrates passive aggressiveness towards other adults, which creates a very toxic environment. The principal doesn't even respond to emails or phone calls. The teachers are nice and seem to genuinely care about the kids. If the administration fails, how can the school function? This place is setting itself up for a potential lawsuit in the near future with this "I don't give a care" mentality.

This is our 3rd school. It has made all the difference! The project based learning is very hands on and applicable to the real world. Teachers are encouraging and creative. They send their own kids here. Administration are both former teachers and support the staff. Pto is amazing with great events and funding students to create equity and funding teacher wishlists. From chickens to robots this school has made my creative kids come to life! My shy autistic kid has a group of friends! It's just an awesome place. Everyone is invested in making it wonderful. So happy we found our fit!

I am a 7th grader at Tappan Middle School, and my experience has been amazing! First off, there are a variety of fun after-school activities, clubs, and sports to choose from. Next, the teachers and staff are wonderful; they are kind, hardworking, and always make school enjoyable! Lastly, there are so many engaging courses available, and the electives make the school day much more fun. So, if you are looking for a middle school in Ann Arbor, I highly recommend Tappan Middle School!

This is school is horrible and a fate worse than death; to send your child here is to send them to a slow death. over the course of 4 years this school will beat the life out of your kid.
