This school is far more welcoming and friendly than their sister school; Ankeny Centennial. This is overall what I have experienced throughout all the schools on the South side though.

Really live this school. We come from Des Moines schools and what a breath of fresh air. This is our 2nd year with my oldest at Parkview. Loved the prior principal. My child is excelling.

We have lived in the Crocker School neighborhood since 2009. I have had two children and two step children attend Crocker and they have all done very well. One Autistic, he had very specifically outlined goals and teaching curriculum, and he had a persona aid with him the majority of the time. An above average student excelled. An average student that excelled. We really only had one year of difficulty with the youngest, where he really struggled with feeling left out (4th grade) and despite our constant communications with the teacher (and guidance councilor) and the teacher her making efforts on her end, this was socially and mentally not a good year for him (though academically he met all benchmarks, yay). Now on to 5th grade, and everything is going great again, has great group of friends again, loves the "Crocker Cruisers" (running after lunch) and loves that they keep track of how far he has run total (two marathons a year, since they started!). They have the "Character Counts" and award a child from each class every month, posting their photo on the wall for all to see and be proud of. The principal is wonderful, front office staff is so welcoming, and the teachers really love the kids going out of their way to grow the children into great little humans! I love the school and the people.
