"It’s a historic area, the second oldest port in the state of South Carolina. The streets are lined with live oak trees that never go bear. They shed their leaves a little bit in February. But it’s beautiful and green on every street all year round. I love trees more than anything. So this makes this place happen to me. Although living in a small town, it can get quite gossipy so I do keep to myself. At least when it comes to the important stuff. But in general, everyone here is very friendly. And when hurricanes happen people work together to help each other."
  • Trulia User
"Very cozy neighborhood. Extremely quiet. No guard gate so can be accessed by public. About 5-10 minutes from the main part of time. "
  • Kimyoung4288
"Great small town with a good sense of community. The people are super friendly and helpful. Plenty of local bars and restaurants to enjoy gorgeous water views. Lots of fresh local seafood. Just a good layed back place to live life."
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Lots of dogs and people walking them. Most people are cool and clean up 😁very friendly and welcoming here! Especially in the historic district. "
  • Anneluvs2sing
"Great family neighborhood. People are friendly. Close to stores and Georgetown water front. Quiet community. "
  • Kevin
"Very friendly area. I live in Georgetown county but outside of the city limits. I work for the hospital system. I find most people in the area are friendly and will offer help if asked. As we do also. "
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Great neighborhood! So beautiful and everyone is super friendly! And the trees that line the streets stay green year round. Heaven!"
  • Kevinr.ayres
"The public school system isn’t as desirable in our area. Our children attended private school. Medical institutions are easily accessible from dialysis, cardiac care to oncology. We are located centrally between Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Florence. Many restaurants and retail shopping available. "
  • CJ
"You see people regularly walking their dogs with the whole family. Sometimes stopping to chat with neighbors. Very friendly"
  • Annehowellscott
"We all take very good care of our landscaping and we have beautiful street lights. It’s a safe neighborhood we all have high end alarm systems with cameras. "
  • A p. l.
"You have to be careful about dogs being out unattended. There are not many dogs in my neighborhood many people stay moving."
  • Teresa a. K.
"People walk their dogs all the time. They would be welcomed here. Private and quiet, very familiar my and pet oriented. "
  • Annehowellscott
"We have swim in movie nights. Set up the big screen outside and swim while watching a movie. Great street with good neighbors."
  • Kathy B.
"It’s a private and secluded beach where the world disappears. its quiet and beautiful with ocean sunrises and marsh sunsets. My only complaint is the new sand brought in for ‘renourishment’. It’s taken the soft sand, gentle on your feet and replaced it with large, jagged shells; impossible for walking. "
  • Edergraves
"The Historic District of Georgetown is a special place. We can walk to the waterfront, the park, the shops and restaurants. And the neighbors have welcomed us so genuinely. We feel like locals already!"
  • TYRONE O. W.
"I live here in love this town I one of the best town to live in. Schools are great. I love my family my kids my church family an friend"
  • Starr S.
"Marina Village is in the private, gated community of Belle Isle Yacht Club, and situated on the banks of Winyah Bay. A hidden jewel, yet convenient to shopping and restaurants in Georgetown -- only 10 minutes by boat or car."
