i was a student here and i ABSOLUTLEY hated it there yes i admit there was some great teachers but the rest of them especially the ap's they where horrible when it came to mangement and controlling their students and staff, we've had way too many close calls when it came with threats so parents PLEASE for the love if god do NOT take your child to cypress springs it was soul sucking.

I will say this my son has never had a F on a report card and received his first F ever. I’m very disappointed in this school. My son is a well mannered child who works hard in school compared to other kids who care less about their grades. He never missed an assignment in this class, didn’t receive anything lower than a B in this class. The last two weeks a teacher assigned a paper where it seems a mix up on due dates or if it was for a grade (obvious some type of miscommunication). Up until 3 days before grades was due my son was passing with a high B. This teacher decides to add the grades to the grade book three days before grades is due dropping the grade to an F. Receiving four zeros for one paper that was broken up in 4 sections. Missing an assignment is not like him and as a teacher knowing if you have a student who’s on top of his work and don’t cause a disturbance, I would think it would cause a red flag to ask him questions or contact his active parent who keeps up with his grades weekly. Nope, she was happy to give that F. This is 8th grade year he gets and F and kicked off the sports team. It’s sad how this teacher could care less. But let it be a student who acted out, cussed and fussed then it they would passing. I can’t wait until my son get done with this school and move on to high school. Parents who care about their kids grades stay on top of these teachers at Hopper. They don’t care.

The level of inappropriate activity in the classroom is shocking and includes teachers bullying one another, teachers bullying students, teachers name-calling students during class, and teachers flipping tables in anger while students are present in the classroom. Staff does not want parents to know what goes on in the classroom or to be involved in the school at all. This school has a highly toxic vibe between management staff (Principal and Vice Principals) and teachers where good teachers don't feel comfortable speaking out. This toxic vibe extends to the relationship between staff and parents as well. Management staff (Principal and Vice Principals) are perfectly willing to blatantly lie about issues to save face. The school hides behind denial and lies and, when parents pursue formal grievance, they hide behind district grievance rules which are time sensitive and not obvious to parents. The school district itself has so many complaints laid against it that they simply sweep issues under the rug rather than attempt to deal with the known issues. This school is a good example of why homeschooling has become so prevalent. I recommend transferring to another local elementary school until the current management staff, at the very least, has changed.
