4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have never felt the need to share my experience with other parents of the very poor performance of a public school. Morton Ranch Junior High School perhaps is one of schools lacking in every aspect of education. Administration in the school has achieved very little in improving student learning. Special education is a joke in this school. Children with special needs receive care and education from very unqualified teachers and aides. Children in general education are being taught from unqualified teachers as well. Teachers in this schools can never give you an honest reason as to why your child is failing even after you have gone the extra mile to get the child extra support outside of school. If indeed a teacher reaches out they emphasize that your child perhaps has an undiagnosed special need. Emails in this school do not work because you will never get a response back. Phones calls never get answered and if you do get a secretary your message never gets to the intended personnel and your call never gets anywhere. Asking for a parent meeting to address the issues happening in the classroom never gets scheduled. It's doesn't matter how many times you ask. Getting your child to this school is a challenge as well. Parents are zooming through the parking lots while children are obviously crossing. If you complain to the officer you are told " what is the problem parents are dropping off their kids, it's like this in every school. " I'm beyond disappointed in the lack of concern from everyone at this school. It scares me to think if in the event of an emergency if our kids at this school will be safely taken care of. If you have the misfortune to be zoned to this poor excuse of a school be cautious. Please document everything in writing and keep records of dates as well as all those involved. Lastly complaining to administration does very little in this school. I hope this helps anyone who has a child that will be attending this school.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Morton Ranch High School

"The commute is terrible. Many of the roads in our area are one lane each way. Not enough street lights, which causes a lot of congestions at stop signs because people do not know the 4 way stop rules. "
