"I’m a huge dog lover and dog owner. I’m also a real estate agent in the area and specialize in finding areas that your dog will live too. I live in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas Blvd and there are tons of dog owners. I love walking my dog and chatting with other dog owners alike while doing walks. No matter what route I take my dog enjoys the scenery, smells and fellow walkers."
  • Marnicharm
"I’ve lived in South Florida almost my entire life. I’ve been in Fort Lauderdale for 7 years. I love it! So much to do, see, get involved in and enjoy. It’s a great location."

  • Ediazmobile
"This is like any other midsize city center with a lot of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. There are many parks and quiet residential blocks."
  • Trulia User
"Amazing area walking distance right to WholeFoods ,Publix ,Sephora ,ulta,Best Buy and all the best restaurants ."
  • Andreacanales93
"We have weekly events such as pop up shops, farmers market, movie night, group workouts, run clubs, drinking events and the list goes on."
  • Jasonbagley3
"New community programs like the on demand LauderGo Micro mover have been a game changer. We have convenient access to tri rail, public and the beach. We were able to get rid of 1 car in our household."
  • Trulia User
"Bayview elementary is the best school and the area for the district is beautiful and friendly. Families help each other and to improve the school together "
  • Elena Radchenko
"In some areas, owners don’t clean up after themselves. However, there’s a lot of doggy bags and everyone’s super friendly so it’s a very sweet place to be at. "
  • Mball
"Friendly neighbors that look out for each other. Gather packages for each other when necessary. Close to grocery shopping and Target!"
  • Colonel Matthew Masry
"It's a relatively private, safe, beautiful, and very convenient location. Fort Lauderdale by the sea is within walking distance, and the nightlife is gorgeous."
  • Katherine Leblanc
"I’ve lived here 6yrs. It’s a great place to be. Conveniently located without the chaos of Miami…………food, transit relatively convenient "
  • Frebroz
"🤷🏽‍♂️ we have nothing special just a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and no through traffic. On the river with boat traffic views"
  • Anair Gonzalez Carnota
"They would like that there is lots of walkable areas but no dog parks. And also some neighborhoods don’t respect the sidewalk so you tend to have to walk on the road"
  • Ftl Beach Kids
"Multiple dog parks, dog beach Sunday nights, very active walker and dog walker area…. Thriving outdoor areas…"
  • Bill Kassebaum, Esq
"The landing’s block parties. This is a waterfront community. Every home is on the water many are no fixed bridges deep water. "
  • karinataveras
"It’s very quiet and safe. We are in a community chat where we share any issues or concerns. It’s very nice, and everybody is friendly "
  • Bill Kassebaum, Esq
"The Landing HOA dinners and meetings. This is a yachting all water front community. Mostly deep water no fixed bridges"
  • Kara B.
"Lived in Shady Banks for 22 years and it's only getting better. It's very close to Downtown but unique in that it's enclosed so we don't get any cut through traffic and the roads are quiet for running/walking. Single family homes only (no townhouse development taking over as in other downtown neighborhoods). The tree canopy is gorgeous and beautiful peacocks roam the streets. The best part is our two parks, one with lots of amenities for sports and social gathering, the other a nature park on the river with a boardwalk to walk or launch kayaks. Love this place. "
  • Roy Thompson
"Not for young kids. This is more of a retirement community. Not many young kids in this area. "
  • Maggiedotson83
"I think parents will be safe since it’s a family single home kids can play in both front and back yard. Away from the street and parents can keep an eyes watch."
  • Carolina Quinteros
"I love Fort Lauderdale very familiar and clean neighborhood! A lot of parks for dogs and kids. Restaurants, beaches. "
  • Donna Finley
"It’s on the River with many beautiful boats docked or either going by. There’s a water trolley that you can take to go up and down the river. It’s close to a Main Street with many shops a restaurants. The location is perfect but can be somewhat noisy. All ages life in my area but there are too many dogs. "
  • Trulia User
"Diversity in everything, career, industry, business and people. Near airport, cruise ship port, yatch and more"
  • Henry A.
