About this House

Nice lot size in a quiet/sunny location within Mount Hermon Park. Many years a Vacation Cabin and now somewhat a "fixer upper", but actually, quite livable. Large deck, nice yard area, many possibilities! Priced right, "As Is", as a starter home or getaway retreat. Newer Septic system and unfinished Laundry/Workshop area under home. Don't miss this opportunity at a price you don't often see these days, especially in a nice area and location. Location?...isn't that what it's all about? Show and Sell

"small town vibes who care about keeping the community safe and sound and i love living here. i grew up here and was so excited to move back and eventually raise my kids here"
  • Settanni101
"Lots of people out walking their dogs. Some chatter of starting a dog park in the neighborhood! Pretty much every one has a dog :)"
  • Michael Ishaq
"In the valley of the Santa Cruz Mountains there are few busses and bicycle/walking isn’t really an option. You better have a car."
  • Zdriscoll
"Some owners dont take care of their dog or their dog is very agressive - some off lessh. And their is wildlife that could harm a dog"
  • Bryce P.
"I lived in this neighborhood for four years in my early twenties. I loved the access to the beach and the mountains, lots of students around but I never had any issues with partying in this area. It's expensive, but the overall feel of Santa Cruz cannot be beat for those who love the beach and laid back lifestyle. "
  • Ablkneon2002
"nice friendly long atandind private road nearby grocery market nearby in walking distance nice countryside living "
  • Cara N. W.
"I live in the Mount Hermon part of Felton. I see a lot of people walking their dogs and stopping to chat and let the dogs say “hi” to each other. It is a very dog-friendly neighborhood. "
  • Elizabeth C.
"my commute is easy requiring no major freeway travel. In fact, it is only 8 miles to downtown Santa Cruz."
  • Elizabeth C.
"It is a beautiful forested location. It feels rural, but is close to everything. Uniquely beautiful."
  • Karen B.
"not a family place very obscure and not a lot of places to play need car to get around power goes out quite frequently "
  • Alex M.
"take about 20min to get anywhere special, also traffic during the holidays is killer if you did want to get around you would either take the bus or your own car "
  • Elizabeth C.
"Proximity to some of the beautiful, giant Redwood forests and state Parks (within walking distance). Beautiful area. Wonderful, caring neighbors who actually reach out and come to help if they see you have a problem... heavy boxy, fallen tree, electrical outage., etc. "
  • Zia I.
"This is a lovely and quiet wooded canyon only 10 minutes away from downtown Felton. It's an easy commute to Santa Cruz , but a world apart and a haven of peace when the beach crowds start showing up!"
  • Zia I.
"It's a bit of a drive into Lompico Canyon, but a beautiful one, especially in the fall when all the maple trees that line the creek turn gold. We enjoy living here because it is very private feeling, yet the neighborhoods have a friendly vibe. "
  • Chsurfer
"The neighbors are friendly and there are a lot of kids and dogs in the area. We can walk to any where in Felton within minutes which includes groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, entertainment etc. We have Roaring Camp and Henrey Cowell Redwoods State Park in our back yard. We are 6 miles from the ocean and we have UCSC, SLV High School and even a Montessori School in our own neighborhood. Whats not to like??? "
  • Michelle R.
"e zayante road is terrible for traffic; we've had one dog run over and killed by a speeding driver, half the road has been washed out for more than a year. There are no sidewalks or bike lanes.Without a motor vehicle you're stuck. Some areas have several winter months with no sunshine whatsoever."
