As an Alumni of MHS, I would initially rate the school with 4 stars. The teachers really care about the students, the students care about each other, opportunities are available for all to students to participate in a athletics, and there is generally a robust attitude of optimism, patriotism and family values. The only shortfall that I can recognize is that there is not enough money in the budget to allow for an extensive variety of extracurricular courses that lay the foundation for college courses such as drama, music, foreign languages, etc. and sometimes the teachers are required to teach a course that is not their area of expertise. More funding or perhaps a volunteer program could/would aid in these areas.
