My grandchildren attended this school. First and second grade for my grandson were okay. He has loved going to school since starting church daycare school at age three. He enjoyed kindergarten, first grade and second grade at Walkertown Elementary. However this year (3rd grade) he hated going to school every day. He would beg to stay home. We finally figured out that the main problem was his teacher who was singling him out and constantly making him apologize to certain other students, for no reason. He was in the gifted program. But, this year he was constantly suppressed in class. The final straw was our granddaughter starting kindergarten there this year and, immediately, we noticed she was digressing in her learning and social skills. After attending Walkertown Elementary for a month, we withdrew them and started homeschooling. They are MUCH happier and are learning at a much faster pace.

Terrible school. Poor communication. Some of the classes don’t even have books that should. Comer is a joke. Poor leadership sinks ships. This school is following that path. They should replace the head on the snake and the rest will follow. If you value your child’s mental health, education and growth choose another school.
