  • Deontrae Mauga
"I live here and it’s really nice around here. I like Lawton, OK. It’s not a bad area. Do I really have to write all this?"
  • J. Polangin
"I’ve lived here for under a year but everyone on our street seems friendly. It’s also a quiet neighborhood for the most part."
  • Killerbaseballpicks
"I drive myself everywhere. Roads are in need of repair. There are no sidewalks. Many of the houses here are abandoned. "
  • J. Polangin
"It’s got a lot of dogs living in this neighbourhood so it may not be good for dog owners to walk their dogs here"
  • Jonesybooy87
"Everyday is peaceful in the neighborhood. You cannot ask for much more than that. I wouldn’t rather live in any other neighborhood around town. "
  • Amanda Moore
"Dogs run loose, transients poison dogs to break into your home, coyotes and bobcats eat your pets. Lawton is not a great place to live"
  • Brakdley A.
"For the most part everyone was friendlyAnd there’s a lot of dog lovers in the neighborhoodIt’s a biracial neighborhood so no one ever feels left out"
  • Scottyswr
"excellent and atmosphere is relaxing seems quiet and safe for everybody! people may want to move here is close to allot of shopping as well!"
  • Ashley R.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 4 years and loved it. The neighbors are super friendly and make you feel welcome. It’s a great community! "
  • Susan R.
"I drive to work takes about 16 minutes to get there. Traffic is a little heavy when the school year is going. Otherwise it will take only 16 min from east to west side. But watch out for potholes since the city of Lawton doesn’t take care of the streets. The lights are time sometimes perfect if you hit it just right but be aware of people running the light thinking that rushing to get where they need to go is important and the their live and other lives doesn’t matter. Sometime the cops let it happen. "
  • Melanie F.
"not many kids out playing neighbor's not very social its safe as far as i have experiencedsome houses are worn down"
  • Emily
"Lawton has little traffic. You can get anywhere in the city in less than 20 minutes. Its very easy to get from one place to another. "
  • Alibooher
"I live here. I’ve lived here for 28 years! East side of Lawton with no issues or worries! Quiet and quaint. Would highly recommend! "
  • Alibooher
"MacArthur is the best school and the east side of Lawton is the safest and most friendly. If you are looking in Lawton, make sure to buy on the East side. "
  • James K.
"We have a great dog park, and multiple pet stores in the area, most places here in town are pet friendly."
  • Alibooher
"My neighborhood has easy quick access to public transit, schools, fire department, and local grocery. "
  • Skye D.
"Nothing, and that’s the way I like it. Nothing happens during the day or night and it’s great. Nice and peaceful. "
  • Trulia User
"not much for kids. there are parks and the trampoline place and chuck e cheese in the area. the wildlife refuge is nice"
  • Robert C.
"People let their dogs run at the big field at the front of the neighborhood. its nice and I haven't had issues with others dogs"
  • Alana W.
"I use my personal vehicle for my own commute. But when I’ve had to use public transit before I didn’t have an issue. I have a good sense about people to avoid so that helps too."
  • Adrienne_reid
"Ward on C Ave and 3 Mile Thursday are great activities that take place in downtown Lawton. These events are promoted by the Lawton Chamber of Commerce. "
  • Brittnie S.
"there’s a lot of other strays running around. people dump animals off all the time. overall wouldn’t recommend "
  • Allison W.
"This place is trash. My neighbors are crazy af. The only good grocery store is Walmart. I would never choose to stay here. it would be better if the restaurants were, I suppose "
  • Amanda C.
"Been broken into our dog has been attacked son has been chased by the homeless . Hate the area . Do not feel safe here"
  • Christine M.
"Inner city of Lawton is sketchy. Has a lot of potential to be greater. There are a variety of stores and restaurants. Lawton is also an hour from OKC and 3 hours from Dallas. Overall, decent place. Weather here is crazy though. "
  • Bchs19985
"there is room on the street to walk but there are no sidewalks on this street or the surrounding streets."
  • James K.
"The Christmas parade, the different festivals we have, like, Arts for all, international festival, and so on."
  • Wendy T. B.
"There is a neighborhood watch but not much else. The basketball court was re-designed by the Oklahoma City Thunder which always draws quite a few users."
  • Terrytee1
"Quiet neighborhood but a lot of crime in this city. High unemployment, panhandlers and drugs. Housing is cheap, culture is lacking."
  • Tommye A.
"We celebrate holidays together at the park and all over the neighborhood. Residents bring horses for the children to ride as they walk slowly side by side. Barbecues all the time. We help keep majority of our yards manicured and cut during the summer months. We check on our elders here and make sure everyone is alright and safe. "
  • Ronald H.
"good neighbors and quiet most of the time, close to hospital, not much littering, close to community college"
  • Edy M.
"Like the area and how it’s friendly and fun. Area is clean and nice. Enjoyed living here for the past year. "
  • William J.
"I like Lawton. I t is a great low cost area to live. Great place for Veterans to retire. Military Base here..."
  • Mdl
"Traffic on Rogers lane is beyond miserable, mostly because everyone speeds, and traffic lights seem to be more of an option than the law. 38th and Rogers lane is deadly. Rogers lane is out dated and need to be bulldozed, with an actual bypass put in. Too much traffic for the size of the town. But Lawton public officials could care less about our safety. I44 is pretty good though. Once you get off of Rogers lane. "
  • Courtney S.
"living in this area for over 4 years, I would have to say that it has it's ups and downs. Recently gun shots are becoming more popular than ever, which is really concerning. "
  • Mj603
"Musical, ballet theatre, lots of church, lake, mountain, stadium for rodeo, library, lots of big events for shoppers. "
  • C.steinbroner
"It's a good neighborhood. I've lived her with my husband. we've never had any issues with neighbors, "
  • friendlyneighborhoodspider
"Keep your doors and vehicles locked. Had way too many weirdos come to our door even had one trying to take things from our yard. But other than that people keep to themselves."
  • Hisfantasy84
"Invest in Surveillance cameras for outside and inside homes. Be seen as being active on your property so people know you’re involved and aware "
  • Courtney S.
"My husband and I moved in this neighborhood last year in April. Really quiet, and all the neighbors are friendly as can be. "
