The basement is partially finished and houses both propane and fuel oil hydronic heating systems, reverse osmosis filtration on the well and the primary electric panels. This property site on the Chazy Reef, a swath of Lake Champlain that is the oldest fossilized reef in the world, dating back some 480-500 million years when it was a living reef in a pre-historic ocean. A fossil of an Orthocane Cephlopod is present in the bedrock as you enter the walk out lake access that allows for a roll out dock system. Septic just pumped this week. "There are many programs and opportunities for kids to be involved in downtown. There are many safe neighborhoods but some areas that are not ideal due to student housing or run down rentals. Overall a very nice place to raise a family."
