I have a 6 grader and a 3rd grader at this school. My children both love their school. The teachers that we’ve had throughout the years have been wonderful and very helpful when needed. We have no complaints, our children have learned so much and are above grade level.

Great school! I'm in the IB Diploma Program and the only downsides I can think of is they give a lot of work but work that will help you for college. However it desperately needs more funding as a minority school the state does not give much aid and as a result we sometimes have to cut corners, yet we still managed to beat Scarsdale and Bronxville on rankings grade-wise. With the funding, it'd make a perfect five.

This school has a lot of potential, but it will never be a quality school until the current principal retires. The current principal is a terrible administrator, and has done nothing for the children or families of Yonkers in her 30+ year career. The only thing she has done is pocketed millions of dollars in total salary and benefits, in addition to making teachers and staff feel like they are inept. Many of the teachers are wonderful and care about the students. This will be a great school when YPS puts in place a person who knows to be a leader.
