I am pleased with every aspect of this school. They are concerned about the Total Child and developing our leaders for tomorrow!

As a grandparent I have very positive things from my handicapped grandchild. He does not feel bullied. His teachers have rules in place to prevent bullying the school has provided an elevator for handicap kids and this year he decided he no longer needs an assistant. He and his brother have done well in their studies and seem happy with all the inner workings at the school at this time. We have only had one incident where he was told he would not be able to do his chosen career in the future by a counselor I think his parents worked that out with the school because he was quite depressed over it, and nobody should be told at his age and handicapped you will never be able to do that best let them work that out in their own life. Other than that, they are looking forward to the end of the year and summer vacation.

I have 3 grandchildren that attend this school, one is in 4th grade and twins in 2nd grade. This school is absolutely amazing! Each and EVERY staff member has done such a great job. All 3 of my grandchildren show tremendous growth in all subject areas every year. The oldest has made leaps and bounds of success, when he started he was a non-reader and had a great deal of difficulty with socialization. Even with the learning issues that myself, his mother and grandfather dealt with before he attended kindergarten Westfield Elementary has helped him become a fluent reader understanding comprehension along with WANTING to read and offer children that struggle with a subject they tend to try and avoid it. He doesn't, the staff there has encouraged him and helped him grow and develop strategies to overcome his weaknesses. He was placed in AIG math this year after having to have extra help in 1st and 2nd grade. All 3 get off the bus in the afternoons smiling and running to the house, they don't complain about completing homework, they talk excitedly about their school day and about everything that took place. No resistance about going to school, they love it and all the staff there! I taught Special education for 15 years and I am amazed at the job this school has done. It's not just the teachers either, it's the bus drivers, the cafeteria workers, the custodians, the office staff, ALL the staff! I can honestly say that never have I had a negative experience with this school. I brag to everyone I speak with about how good this school has been to my grandbabies, how they have reached out to us continuously about their education or behavior. The staff members are always welcoming and provide everything that is needed for a child to exceed. We are so blessed that we happened to live in Westfield Elementary school district when they became school age. I am still astounded all the time about the progress and what they have done for my 3 boys. Would not change their school experience for anything. In my upmost honest opinion their school score should be 10/10. I understand that it goes by test scores etc, however the school district serves a great diverse population of learners, from very low income status to above average income status. That in itself provides the school with a larger struggle than say a school that is located in an area where most the population of students is from above average income homes. Just cannot praise this school enough!!!!

The principal, Dr. White, has been horrible to our child and honestly the worst teacher or principal I have met. Do not send your child here.
