We relocated to Montgomery 5 weeks ago from Katy, where they are known for being an exceptional school district and large presence for special needs intervention/services . So you can understand my anxiety on relocating to Montgomery. I searched these sites with insight and all positive, but not a lot of insight on the special needs programs. Now being at Montgomery Elementary for 2 months, I can attest to how incredible it truly is. The heart of the school is the dedicated and heartfelt Principal Ingall’s, their Vice principal is just as exceptional as he is. Mrs.Brown has been instrumental for our child with autism and all the para’s that love him as their own. If you are reading this and a special needs family, do not hesitate to enroll at Montgomery. We leave this school year with hope and encouragement, they are big on following IEP’s and advocating for your child. No district is perfect, but they try to be and make it feel like a large family, rather then a school. Thank you all for loving my Erick and Nathan, see you next year.

The teachers and staff are continuously providing a safe environment while teaching in todays challenging world. There are many great future ready programs and college prep has been fantastic!

If your child is not a “favorite” or is “too outgoing” expect referrals to go out out like candy.. meanwhile students are cussing at teachers, bullying others, etc and not one referral is given out. Teachers have quit this school because the double standard is unbelievable! Yes, there are always 3 sides to a story but the emotional well being of the kids that attend here are not priority… it’s all about testing scores and looking good on the outside.
