"The commute is tolerable if you don’t have to be somewhere on time. Chamblee is not to blame. The traffic volume everywhere is monstrous."
  • Trulia User
"Great location been Leaving here for over 5 years no complaints so far. Neighbors are friendly and very informative "
  • Trulia User
"Historic with a blend of older well maintained homes as well as new custom built homes; all on big lots."
  • Trulia User
"Everyone knows each other and strive to keep it safe and comfortable. there are a school as well in the neighborhood and a park for the children's and parents. its a neighborhood of history for most of us. There is a bistro not far just a few blocks is the Marta Brookgaven train Station, many restaurants and hardware stores also as we say right down the street is Lowe's and a new plaza. it's certainly a great community to live in and get acquainted with the neighbors."
  • Trulia User
"its very friendly most residents lived here for many years and its a pet friendly neighborhood. There are several parks in the neighborhood very close to many shopping malls as well Walmart, and only about 4 to 5 miles to target very low crime rate i would say 2 to 3%. This community consist of several Police Units including Brookhaven, Chamblee , Dekalb County we respect our community and welcome new comers."
  • Jeremy K.
"So many doggos (including our own)! The overwhelming majority have their dogs leashed. I wish more folks would pick up after their doggos, but overall the area is dog friendly. Not many dog specific parks in Chamblee though (I think the closest is Brookhaven). "
  • Dennis R.
"Very safe neighborhood it looks like there’s a wide variety of different cultures which is excellent for growth. A ton of great businesses, from studios, restaurants and retail. "
  • Jessica G.
"We love this area as a family with one dog! There are two dog parks in a one mile radius from us and there are walking trails that our pup can take walks on with us! It is usually pretty shaded so it isn’t too hot in the summer for her paws and she loves getting out and seeing other doggies! "
  • Vicente D.
"I like the area a lot it’s safe. There are parks and restaurants very close and good schools. I really enjoy the city "
  • Jessica G.

  • Oana_c09
"Very close to Atlanta, but away from all the business and it is very accessible being near 285. There is much to do in the area!"
  • Jesse M.
"All of the heavy traffic that has started flowing through our quiet neighborhood because of the thousands of apartments and retail businesses that have invaded Chamblee - thanks to our developer friendly policies. Once quiet and peaceful - No more. Relocating to Greenville, SC "
  • Eliot G.
"It is OK. The prices in this area are ridiculous. Some of the apartment complexes around here have rats and roaches. It's close to the city and pretty much everything .this place is just OK."
  • Franco P.
"I like the fact that it’s rich in commerce, a lot of places to eat, not far from Marta, but not as hectic as the city. At the end of the day when I’m out and about in the city, coming back to my temporary home here in Chamblee gives me peace and it’s something I greatly look forward to. "
