Looking for a lakefront vacation home with rental income? This charming cabin is just 75 minutes NE of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St.Paul) in Polk County, Wisconsin on Big Blake Lake (License #76675). The license transfers with the property - something not everyone has and is harder and harder to obtain in our area. We were one of the first rentals and have nearly a 10-year history of renting.
This is being sold turn-key fully furnished. We are most commonly described as having an adirondack style designed home with modern kitchen and bath, and all the charms of rustic cabin life in the woods.
Fully equip chef style kitchen (all new appliances January 2020), full bath with updated classic looking tub/shower combo, outside shower with a double shower head (May-Oct), year-round usability and comfort with central ac/heat, beautiful stone fireplace and two private bedrooms each with screened patio doors leading out to a wrap around deck that sits over the lake in the tree tops.
June - Sept we supply a canoe, SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) and floating diving dock. You can swim, bike, fish, hike, bring or rent your own kayak, paddleboat, boat (there's a ramp on the lake and we have a dock). In winter you can ice fish, cross country ski, downhill ski, snowshoe, snowmoile, visit local wineries, shops, casinos and so much more. There is something to do every season of the year indoors and outdoors here no matter the weather!
We have many wonderful local restaurants within a 15-30 minute drive in charming towns like ours (Luck), Balsam Lake, Amery, Cumberland, St. Croix Falls, Frederic and Osceola. We are also a convenient 1.5 hour drive from the Minneapolis/St.Paul Int'l Airport.
Rental of our cabin includes wireless fiberoptic internet, a stock of DVD's, games, cards, puzzles, children's toys, towels, linens, a coffee maker and grinder, extensive kitchen set-up with nearly everything you should need to cook and bake, an outdoor natural wood charcoal burning grill, trash bags, dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher detergent and toilet paper.
You will need to supply your own firewood (must be local - available locally in bundles), personal health and beauty products (including bug spray and sunscreen) and all food and beverages.
Vacation sleeping arrangements accommodate a max. of six (6) people (3 Queen Beds = 2 private bedrooms and 1 pull-out sofa in Living Room). We usually limit adult groups to four (4) and allow the max. of six (6) when children are included in the count.
One dog is welcome with advance permission and a nominal cleaning fee of $50. Two dogs have been known to be considered with further discussion. Each dog is $50.
