This school is horrible not safe.This school has a group of kids running around threatening and beating kids up like its a gang territory.The school is not safe multiple fights last at least a minute and the adults do nothing but watch the kids get beat.The discipline is horrible they let these kids get right back into the school.I am a victim of harassment.They cornered and threatened me and when me and my mom went and reported it to the school the school didn’t do nothing and tried to instead frame me for calling them cuss words when I didn’t do anything like that.Also, a few weeks later they brutally beat a kid with multiple people while adults just watched.They did this in a public hallway with a bunch of kids and adults in front of the media center.The school suspended the kids for a week but they are back acting like nothing happened because nothing really happened and they wasn’t effected in any real way cuz they don’t care bout they education.The school don’t make any real effort to make them care either they basically gave up on them kids.This school is horrible and I hate it I wanna transfer not safe don’t send your kid unless you want to put them under threat in a unsafe place.

This school now feels like it’s running on autopilot. The spark that once made it feel nurturing and forward-thinking has dimmed significantly, largely due to administrative stagnation. Although the brochures boast a progressive approach, the reality paints a much different picture. From a parent's lens—especially one with multiple kids enrolled—it’s disheartening to witness this decline. Leadership seems disengaged, with minimal visibility or meaningful interaction in day-to-day student life. There’s a growing disconnect between what’s communicated publicly and what’s actually happening within the classrooms. Families deserve transparency and a leadership team genuinely invested in evolving the school’s culture and educational standards.

This school is the greatest school in district 54, and Emmet makes this school the best school in the country.

I pulled my kid out of this school. They have a SEVERE bullying problem they cannot seem to get a grip on and don't seem particularly interested in fixing it. I even met with the principal on a literal group of kids who had my kid come home with physical injuries and her response was (verbatim - to my FIRST GRADE CHILD directly), "well boys will be boys and it sounds like [little boy who started it all] likes that girl but she likes you and he's just jealous. Just stay away from him." Is she serious?? And the teachers have no idea how to deal with children. They intentionally pit them against each other by telling the class they are going to lose whatever behavior incentive was there because of a specific kid so the kids will police each other. This turns into the kids berating and yelling at and isolating their peers in groups, with the teachers permission. The level of lazy negligence is ridiculous. You can tell the teachers and staff are at a point of being sick of their jobs. Their are a couple there who are actually passionate, but not the main ones interacting with the kids. This school is a behavioral and safety nightmare.
