9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnybody who tells you this school is great is half correct. They don't, however, tell you the dark side of it. The Harrison County District is pretty good, don't get me wrong. Keep doing your job. WHHS is one of the top choices you would take your child into if you are trying to get them into the Harrison County District. The teachers are nice and sweet (an exceptional amount of them), but there are some that won't even help you because of that one phrase "Well, you should've been paying attention." It doesn't matter if the student was paying attention or not, it is your job to teach these kids, no matter how much they get on your nerves. You signed up for the job, so what's the problem?Another is the racism. Now, this school is not serious about it at all. They tell you they will do something about it, but never do. I get so many complaints from my friends about this school and how they handle racism. It is way too normalized there. They don't recognize their problems, but the minute someone points it out they are so quick to silence them and make them suffer. I have heard multiple people in class laughing or playing around wen we talk about something serious. Nobody does anything, because they are afraid they'll be bashed for it. Even the teachers don't step in. This needs t be fixed IMMEDIATELY.Lastly, slurs. This connects to racism but on a different level. This is also normalized. People say words that are derogatory towards people of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, and sex. It makes people feel like they are below the person and it's the reason why people, like LBTQ+ people, is afraid of being open to their friends or parents today. The students, even teachers, judge people based on the way they look, and although it seems like they help you, you never know what they say behind your back. There is such thing as insecurity, and bringing people down does NOT make it any better. The way this school handles problems is not at all fair. This school is great, but they need to do one thing:RECOGNIZE.Thank you.Student Review4y ago8 Reviews - West Harrison Middle School

"The area in and around Saucier has been blighted by trash and litter. Unfortunately, such natural beauty has succombed to people who apparently want to keep their home and car interiors spotless because they seem to throw their trash into the nearby ditch or out of the car window! I lived there for three years until recently and tried to collect litter daily but it was fruitless. It just keeps coming back. Litter information needs to be taught in the schools and then perhaps the children can educate the parents. It is such a shame that there is so much disregard for the environment. Our ancestors would be so ashamed to see what has been done. It was so stressful for me, I had to move away from it. Drive down highway 53 towards Saucier Lizana Rd and then turn North for starters. Turn East onto West Wortham towards Old Highway 49 for a continuation of your tour. By the time you are done on just this short route, you will be as appalled as me, guaranteed. Take this all into consideration, if you can handle it, maybe you can be the ones to make a difference. Good luck. "

"Could be lovely, if ignorant people did not throw their trash everywhere along the road. Take a drive down West Wortham where this home is located. You will be sick on your way there when you see it. Such a shame and there are so many beautiful wooded areas and lakes. People don't appreciate what they have. If cleaned up and kept that way, houses would sell faster I am sure. Who wants to see this on their way home everyday?"

"My grandparents built this house and I lived in it all my life. The neighborhood quickly filled will very poverty stricken druggies and drunks. I love my memories there but this particular neighborhood is unsafe and filled with low life scum. Drive around the circle and see for yourself. The road Bonvillain was named because my grandparents and Mr. Hudson were the first to purchase the land, and it has gone completely down hill the last decade."
