9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student during the 2022-2023 school year. Summit hill gives a good education I guess but is just like Lincoln way east. If you’re not a sporty student on one of the school sports teams then you’re looked over as a literal human being. The staff tend to favor athletes and give them better recognition than just regular students. I felt like they didn’t give enough recognition to other racial groups for important months/days out of the year either. Not only that but they doubled how strict they are with work and assignments and now they put students in a room called study hall if you didnt turn in an assignment. They put you in there without the students or the parent’s permisssion where you eat and do work at the same time, and sometimes wouldnt let you talk quite at all. Quite frustrating to try to eat and enjoy your food and do work at the same time. If they see you eating for too long they tell you to get back on task when a childs lunch should be the time to eat, socialize, and take a mental break. They didnt care about how you or your parent felt about that. The teachers weren’t supportive to the students about their mental health, it doesn't matter if your freaking dog died...they will get in a group and gossip about you and the one assignment you didn’t do in the hallway inappropriately. Lastly summit hill gives students ONLY 3 MINUTES TO GET TO CLASS. That is way to short for students that cant even carry a bookbag unless they are injured. It was terrible trying to get to class with a filled hallway to try to find your locker, open it, rush and think about everything you need for the next class then try to rush to your classes no matter how far they were and the teachers didnt give a care they just marked you tardy.Student Review2y ago3 Reviews - Dr Julian Rogus School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children that attended Julian Rogus school. One child had an IEP using both Speech and Occupational Therapy, and has since successfully graduated out of the need for OT. My other child utilized social work supports for help building friendships and has grown exponentially. Both children are now attending our public middle school and are enrolled in both accelerated and honors learning tracts. Summit Hill School District is helping my children thrive.Parent Review2mo ago2 Reviews - Walker Intermediate School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to this school for 5th grade and was put in the wrong class for English. She was also bullied all 5th grade by same person, and I was unaware until my child finally reported the bullying to me. I made the school aware and asked them to help with the problem. There solution was to keep the two kids in different classes, however today it all began again while my child was in the lunchroom with the other child. This child threw food and made harassing comments at my child and her friend. I called the school and reported this to them. They are looking into the problem. I am sorry but you do not have a solution or plan in place for bullying?? Then you allow children to continue to bully and do nothing about it, shame on you school!! This is unacceptable and I would not recommend this school unless you are okay with your child being bullied.Parent Review1y ago2 Reviews - Lincoln-Way East High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA very white-supremacist feeling school. I am an Asian-mixed person who formerly transferred into the school in the middle of my high school journey. Requirements are extremely strict, extremely conservative ideas and rules (you face severe punishment for hugging someone, as an example;) not only this, but doing anything in the school outside of the curriculum takes an utter fortnight of steps in order to reach the goal. The students are definitely a huge problem. Being a white-dominant school, I was definitely a huge target for racism. Getting cornered, screamed at in the ear, my name being shouted like a slur, being talked to by my peers like I was an alien. This is for having ADHD, not willing to hurt anyone, and often helping others in need. Although, I was playful, I was often a mime when it comes to humour, but my peers are extremely unknowledgeable about any kind of humour unless it's told completely to their face. I was extremely disappointed.A side tangent: I remember being inside an AP group project, and because I talked with an accent with a 99% white class; all of my group mates pretended like they couldn't hear me. And this happened for almost every group project I was in. Pet peeve if you ask me.Do not involve yourself into any Advanced Placement program unless you are incredibly masochistic. This school gives an absolutely overzealous workload, with Advanced Placement stacked on top of it; it is an absolute hellish nightmare. I was getting over a huge case of severe depression when I was going to the school, and all of the habits only kicked back in because of how much work was getting. It was like my freetime was non-existent, having going multiple weeks without proper cleaning, sleep, or even eating because there was just so much work. Sometimes, I'd just leave the work for another day and my grade definitely suffered because of it.I do not recommend this school if you are a racial and mental minority to those amongst you. And I do not have hope for the school's community going forward.Other Review3w ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 19632 Beechnut Dr.

"Not so unique anymore. Most of my neighbors don’t talk to each other anymore. It’s very sad. We use to have block parties and enjoy each other. Now we have some neighbors that just gossip about people. Very judge mental neighborhood now. "
