5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience is overall negative. The majority of teachers are decent, although a portion of those are intolerable in their poor teaching methods. The student body is a pestulence the world will unfortunately have to face in the following years due to their intolerance of others, disrespect for authority, and disregard for other people that do not satisfy their pleasurable interests. Furthermore, the education at this school appears as if an afterthought; more emphasis is placed on athletics than on education and a similar sentiment is held by most students.Student Review8y ago5 Reviews - Matoaca Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst middle school in the county. Can not retain quality teachers and annual turnover of rookie administration never helps. Even bussing in the CBG students doesn't help.Other Review6mo ago3 Reviews - O B Gates Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve had a wonderful experience with our child’s elementary school and honestly can’t understand why it’s rated as low as it is. The teachers and staff are dedicated, caring, and truly invested in student growth, both academically and emotionally. Communication with families is consistent and thoughtful, and the school community feels welcoming and inclusive. One of the most impressive things about this school is the variety of educational opportunities it offers. Our child has access to unique curriculum options, like Mandarin Chinese and American Sign Language, that are typically only found in one other school in the region. These kinds of programs are not only enriching but also prepare students for a more global and inclusive future. It’s rare to find this kind of cultural and linguistic exposure at the elementary level, and we’re so grateful our child is benefiting from it.Beyond academics, the school does a great job supporting social-emotional development, celebrating student success, and encouraging creativity and curiosity. From science fairs and cultural celebrations to reading challenges and service projects, there’s always something positive and engaging happening. This is a school that clearly puts students first and makes the most of its resources. It deserves more recognition for the strong foundation it provides and the diverse, forward-thinking opportunities it offers. We feel lucky to be part of this school community!Parent Review10mo ago677 Reviews - Check out schools near 19600 Eanes.

"Regardless of how nice a neighborhood is, there could be any “kidnappers” and dangers to worry about like anywhere else. It just takes bad people to go to a different area. So be mindful, but this is one of the “safer” areas that I know. "

"Work from home but overall commutes are easy and traffic is average. Roads are well maintained with easy access to highways. The traffic congestion there is at times is mainly due to stop lights at the various shopping plazas. "
