As with any education, you get what you put into it. We moved here 12 years ago, with four school age children. Two have graduated, one is attending U of A, the other Hendrix. My Hendrix student has interned at HP and Amazon and is going to work at Google after he graduates. My other two will be going to Hendrix and John's Hopkins. Our children's education should not be solely the school's responsibility, but also the parents.

Had the asst. principal try to physically remove my son from a desk and then say, "Are you freaking crazy?" because he refused to move. I was called several times to come get my son because they, " couldn't deal with him" that day. He has ADHD and ODD. I requested special education before enrollment, didn't see them once! Our meetings were laughable, the principal at the time, a doctors wife, basically said he needed medicated and asked, "What do I expect out of a public education?" I asked that he be put into an ALE classroom and was told he didn't fit the mold for that class. Needless to say we removed him and homeschooled him and he is now thriving and never wants to attend another school in this district again. We should have pressed charges against the asst. principal at the time for placing her hands on our child. Do better! If these are in fact professionals trained to work with children, you can't tell!!

As a student that goes to this school I can say this school sucks. And does not deserve the rank it has. The way the teach is way to confusing for over half the students and by teaching us the tell us one thing about how to do something and practically don’t help us if we end up failing. Also favoriting students by who they are or what they’re told. When a student gets into a fight and the other child defends himself both the children get into trouble even if the child who defended himself did nothing. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Most of the teachers at this school are just average. However, the counselors and school nurse are wonderful. I have been very unhappy with how this school deals with bullies. My son has been on his own to deal both emotionally and physically with bullies. He is only nine years old. This is completely unacceptable.
