2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSadly this whole district is a dumpster. They're building a whole new neighborhood and the students that are already enrolled don't even have teachers in the classroom. There's a lockdown every month. They allow sagging, piercing starting with the principal, he has earrings in his ears and that's completely unprofessional. Try calling the school you WILL NEVER get anyone to answer. There's fights every week. District needs to step out up we have teachers quitting every month. Don't enroll your child here. As I'm waiting to pick up my child at the front office one of the white counselors told a student she only had 3 minutes to listen to wherever she has to say. I feel terrible that those counselors aren't doing their job. Many kids suffer depression anxiety and all this lady had was 3 minutes.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - Charles Baxter Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a family member of a student at Charles Baxter J High School, I can confidently say that this school has exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed by the staff and administration. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also deeply invested in their students' success, providing support both inside and outside the classroom. The dedication of the faculty, the vibrant school community, and the emphasis on student well-being make this an exceptional place for learning and growth. We are truly grateful for the impact this school has had on our family!Other Review11mo ago9 Reviews - Dan Powell Intermediate School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe best school I have ever experienced. Often times you won't see teachers leaving the school until 8 at night working on curriculum. The principal is FANTASTIC, she genuinely loves the students and knows most of the students by name. This school goes above and beyond to ensure that each student has supplies to get work done even if the child can't afford them they always ensure that each student has enough. The staff is involved with the families and ensures that Dan Powell is a place where kids can feel safe, and comfortable to try and excel. I don't think anyone could run the school better than Mya Asberry, these kids are getting the absolute best you would not know from the scores, the curriculum or the teachers that this was a title I school. GREAT JOB DAN POWELL!Other Review9y ago6 Reviews - John And Polly Townley Elementary School

"Commuting between this area and Dallas or Fort Worth is good overall. 170 is a great option to access Hwy 114 to Dallas and there are toll road express roads south to Fort Worth if I-35 is congested. It is often congested during rush hour at I-35 and Heritage Trace."

"This particular area of Park Glen is very crime free. Lots of sport teams activities in the park across the street. Great walking trails. You walk, or run, a half mile, a mile, even 2 or more miles! Arcadia park across the street is also a flood zone which protects us from being flooded! "
