"Most truly walkable neighborhood in Houston. excellent area for walking the dog with lots of trees, grass and dog parks nearby. if you're worried about car break-ins or people leaving the club at 2 am, look for a different area, but it doesn't bother me."
  • Ezgi K.
"I’ve lived in here for 2 years. Quiet and safe, every place so close my apartment. Also I can walk dowtown, metro station. "

"Not too bad to live, some great people in the neighborhood. Sometimes strange stuff happen make it feels not safe Otherwise it’s the best neighborhood with night life style. "
  • Todd_perkins78
"Probably not the best for kids. I would suggest finding another area to live if you have kids. Unless you have the money to purchase a house with a large yard here."
  • Reid.louisa
"We are close to the park and I see dogs enjoying the area all the time. The shade is great and lots of lawn available."
  • Reid.louisa
"2 mile easy commute light traffic most days. A bit dicey in a few areas where there is a large population of homeless."
  • Krista F.
"If I find a place in area I could walk to work or ride my bike . As of now it’s 4 hours daily in the car"
  • Ekow A.
"There are plenty of dog parks around here, Bagby Park, Glover Park, W. Webster, Midtown Park, etc. You won't have any problem walking the streets around here either as you see plenty of 🐕 owners everywhere. However, there are plenty of one-way streets and people don't always use caution. "
  • Yrenecarts
"The park a three blocks away has 300 year old oak trees, so beautiful. We have get together everyday where we let our dogs socialize and there are always community events at this park, art sells, food booths, party atmosphere on weekends, etc. I love being able to walk to the Toyota Center from my house! And, Discovery Green! We ride bikes to the events and outdoor concerts. Urban living at its finest!"
  • Trulia User
"Dog friendly area- really active people here makes you feel comfortable walking your dog in evenings. Downside is owners not cleaning up after pets "
  • Kayley
"I take the metrorail to and from work, it is awesome and why i love this location. It takes me less than 15 minutes to get to the tmc transit center "
  • Balloonstogo
"Less than 10 minutes drive and a 30 minute walk to my husbands job. We love the convenience to work, restaurants, banks and other daily needs. "

  • Shannonhalfhill
"It's walkable and what isn't walkable is a quick uber ride away. It's only 17 minutes to the Hobby Airport. It's 10 minutes from the galleria. Specs and HEB are within a mile. Awesome area! "
  • Markdmt92
"If you’re into night life, there’s an abundant amount of choices to enjoy. You also have such a diverse selection of food so close to enjoy as well."
  • Krista G.
"The restaurants and the night life make this a fun and upbeat neighborhood. It feels safe to walk in the evenings and everything you need is nearby and convenient. I never feel bored or lacking entertainment and it’s centrally located near all the major freeways! Mostly young 20s and 30s live in this area, but you’ll find a few young families and older couples."
