Description
Welcome home, this quaint 2br/1ba townhouse was remodeled and is ready for you to move in. Equipped with all of the creature comforts of a modern home while maintaining the classy look of a century old row house.
Amenities include a high efficiency gas furnace with central heating and cooling. The bathroom was updated with a full size bathtub and shower, beautiful tile, plenty of light, and ample cabinet space. Your kitchen is equipped to make a nice dinner with a full size five burner gas convection range, above the range vented microwave, full size dishwasher, large sink, and disposal. All appliances in the house are Energy Star rated, high energy efficiency.
A Dining room with crystal chandelier is connected to the spacious living room by a wood burning fireplace. The rooms open up into the west facing private, custom stone backyard which provides the perfect place for barbecues.
The two bedrooms are spacious and well lit, but when you want to sleep in you'll have the help of custom light-blocking hardwood Levolor blinds.
Your location is second to none, nestled on the quietest one-way street. Seconds to Georgetown restaurants and boutiques, and retail amenities on Wisconsin Ave, including Whole Foods, Safeway, Trader Joes (4min walking distance), Farmers Market and a Sunday Flea Market. The Georgetown Circulator is at your doorstep and will quickly get you to Dupont Circle, and as far as Union Station.
PARKING
You can rest assured that you will always have a parking spot right in front of the house should you need it. It is a unique and highly unusual situation for DC. The house is on a side street so largely only people who live on that street park there. Also, most homes have on-site parking. There is always parking on the street even on weekends when majority of the residents are at home. There are only private homes and one duplex (no condos) on this street so there isn't a lot of cars. Also, there are two large parks 3-5min walking distance with free parking around them. There is a Trader Joe's 4min walking distance (according to Google maps), the store has a large underground parking garage for shoppers, and so does Safeway which is also 4min walking distance. The best part is that the house is in DC's residential parking Zone 2 which means that with the Zone 2 sticker you may park for free in Georgetown, Dupont Circle, and U street/ Shaw area. Please refer to the DC parking zone map.
