Like all secondary schools.... High school is what parents and students choose to make it. If you push your child to take advanced and AP courses your child will be well prepared for college. Mvths also offers advanced college prep programs for students interested in the medical field or engineering. The extra curricular activities offered are outstanding. The school also has one of the best cte departments in Southern Illinois. Additionally in 2016 new building for the high school will open. Now for the downfalls of mvths; students whose parents don't put education first and help push their children will not excel as well in college. However obviously since your reading this review, your making education a priority. Overall Mvths is a good high school .

I had two stepsons and a daughter attend both the Opdyke and Belle Rive Attendance Center, and my granddaughter attends OBR now . The class sizes are small, and the teachers there are top notch. The parents for the most part are involved and care about what goes on. While the administration has changed a bit, the educators there all know every child at their attendance center on a first name basis. I am very satisfied with the education received there.
