I have had two children go through Eastside and I can honestly say they could not get a better eduuation anywhere. At Eastside the teachers are exceptional, not only by ensuring that each child is a reader, writer and understands math but also that each child is challenged to their potential. Differentiated learning fills each classroom. Music, art, creativity and tech savvy are valued and encouraged. The thing that sets Eastside apart, however, is the staff's commitment to character. From the janitor to the principal everyone in that school is helping kids to develop personal responsibility and a spirit of cooperation. I am so grateful for the education and experience my children received here.

I'm 47 years old, and was a student at Wapiti from grades K-6 (now it only goes through 5th grade I understand). In hindsight- it was the best possible school. At the time, we had ~ 35 students, 3 teachers (one for K, one for 1-3, and 1 for 4-6- not sure how it's split up now). I was an "average" student there- mostly B's, with a few C's and a few A's, but it was a great education. We got 2 of the first Apple computers in ~ 1977 (2nd grade for me)- at a time when computers in schools were unheard of. After 6th grade, my parents moved us to Louisiana (which was 50th in the nation for school rankings at the time). I immediately became a straight A student without significant homework, and the math book we used for 7th grade in Louisiana was the same exact book we'd used for 6th grade in Wapiti. I went to on be valedictorian of my class in Louisiana and then graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1993. Wapiti helped build the foundation for my life- would do it over again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this school to anybody looking at it.

defiantly a FIVE STAR school! i always knew my son, michael madson, was smart, but having miss frisby as his teacher made him even smarter.. he was always coming home, telling me things that i didnt even know! i am very proud of him, and proud of how well this school treats the kids! its a great school... us parents, really appreiciate all the time and energy the teachers put into their students (: im defiantly a very satisfied mother with this school!! not to mention, my son met alot of best friends there! he loves his school too (:

Couldn't be more pleased with the teachers and administration. Spirit, sportsmanship and academic expectations are superb. My son loves to go to school here and has developed a great appreciate for his community and country that I attribute greatly to his public education in Cody Wy.

great school far out though no middle or high school teachers and the kids have to go in to town to even get picked up by the bus

My son is deaf and they have bent over backwards to accommodate his needs. My oldest daughter also came here behind because of a previous bad school and Sunset Elementary has developed an IEP that got her back on the right track.
