We really wanted to give this school a chance, but unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. My daughter is in kindergarten, and from the very first day of school she has been crying and telling us that she does not want to go back. She has repeatedly told us that she feels her teacher is very mean, and she has also expressed concern about how the teacher treats a student with special needs in her classroom.One of my biggest concerns happened during car rider pickup. I personally witnessed my kindergarten aged daughter being sent out alone, seemingly expected to find our vehicle herself. I found this extremely concerning and unsafe. At that age, children should be supervised and properly directed to their parent or vehicle during dismissal.Unfortunately, our interactions with staff have also left a lot to be desired. We have experienced rude and dismissive behavior, including snarky attitudes and staff making faces or displaying an attitude after speaking with parents.We wanted to give the school a fair chance before making any judgments, but these experiences have made us very uncomfortable. A kindergarten classroom should feel safe, welcoming, and supportive, and unfortunately that has not been our daughter’s experience. We hope the school takes these concerns seriously because no child should be starting their school experience feeling like they don’t want to go back.
