A short walk away is the Pinebrook lake with recreation activities for children in the summer. Full RV hook ups are available for visitors. Picnic areas are along the creek and there is a clubhouse for meetings or to reserve for private events. Calaveras County is recreationally rich with both summer and winter activities. During the summer visit high country alpine lakes for, fishing, kayaking, swimming and well maintained walking paths and picnic areas. The rivers offer great fishing, and river rafting in scenic splendor. Water skiing and other water sports are offered on three close by reservoirs. Mountain bikers and hikers will find miles of inviting trails that go from easy to challenging. Snow appeal is what winter is all about. Skiers and snow boarders choose Calaveras County for its easy access to our steep and scenic slopes. Snowmobiles and snowshoer's will find miles of trackless winter wonderland. Golfers can enjoy green oases in the golden countryside to emerald meadows on the forest floor. Area winery's offer award winning vintages served by the glass or bottle.
