Neptune school board invests a lot of money in infrastructure, and the physical school is as nice as you'd find anywhere. Probably the nicest aquatic center in NJ. The money however would be better spent on student counselling programs, social work, job placement and vocational programs. It's disappointing that an expensive school system is not yielding better opportunities for the children and the community.

Way too much homework. This is a school and a district that cares more about the testing scores and their tenure then acting teaching and helping children tearn. It's a reallty sad commentary that the homwork load is excessive to the point of abuse. My children used to love school and learning, now they hate school and are burned out from hours of homework every night, holiday, weekend and vaction time. The emphasis is on the (NJ ASK) testing and NOT on learning or the well-being of the child. There is no time for my children to explore non-school interests and there is little care on this impact on an entire generation of school children. The school administrators and the teachers are concerned only with potecting their jobs and appearances (testing results). What happened to school being about the students?
