8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience at Shadow Lake has been excellent! There is a great community, school and PTA plan tons of events thru the year, engaging parents and staff. Front office staff is always warm, friendly and helpful. The principal greets all the kids in the morning with a smile. Overall vibe of the school is happy and safe. So far all my kids teachers have been lovely, communicative and have addressed issues promptly.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Tahoma Senior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm in Cedar River Middle School this year as a seventh grader, and I absolutely love it. The teachers are nice and you can talk to them about assignments without worry. I'm on Team Kodiak, which consists of Mrs. Lommen, Ms. Wamba, Mr. Bills, and Mr. Hanson. When I was in sixth grade at CRMS, I was on Dream Team, and even though I didn't have all of the teachers there, they were very nice to me. I think the school could improve the buildings. Even though there were renovations at the start of the 2014-15 school year, the buildings are quite old and I think it would be best to build more room for the kids. There are 30-35 kids per classroom, and it makes learning hard for students when you can't get help with assignments. If those things were fixed, it would make Cedar River a perfect place to go to school.Other Review10y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 18820 & 18818 SE 216th St.

"Dog walks are super easy in Glencoe because the neighborhood is flat! I see about ten dogs a day being walked. "

"HOA fees are extremely high for No admenities as a renter. Rately is the condos cleaned and theft was very common in this location. I had my car broken into 3 times This was my experience at these condos"

"There’s a brand new charter school out here and we love it; Impact | Black River Elementary. Though at home there are not a lot of kids my child has built relationships with, the community at the school is awesome, the staff is open to collaborating with their parents, and it’s obvious that the kids enjoy themselves there"

"Great neighborhood, quiet area, close to freeways and grocery stores. Unfortunately the schools are a nightmare and not recommended, and the transit system is wishy washy, not reliable for work."

"I just moved here and haven't been to any community events yet. The place seems wonderful though and might live here longer in the future after spending time North of Seatle for my job. When I live here longer I plan to get to local community events for sure. Thank you for being welcoming during my first stay here. "

"It’s a rough area for kids to be out in plus school districts are not the best in the Renton area. I would suggest another community"

"there are several Parks in the neighborhood and plenty of trails to walk. It's a very quiet neighborhood with a neighborhood watch looking out for fellow neighbors. Police patrol the neighborhood from time to time to ensure the neighborhood stays quiet. "

"Upper Kennydale has done a complete turnaround in the past 2 years. Families have moved in, the neighborhood is now one of the hottest places in Seattle area. You now feel safe on walks, crime is low, and people are friendly. I now highly suggest this place. "

"there's tons of pet parents and lots of good options to walk your fur kids. we hope that new pet parents will pick up after their little ones as some people have complained about poo piles and poo bags thrown into their trash bin. "

"It’s quiet for a Kent neighborhood. There’s one park for the surrounding area and it gets a lot of traffic (lots of people with dogs, some kids, some BBQs and picnics) but otherwise it’s quiet. I’ve only lived here about a month. "

"Lived here 5 years and I have no problems. Folks pick up after their furry pets. The only problem is the public transportation around here isn’t good at all. You would need a car to live comfortably around here."
