"Lived here for 4 years now. Friendly, quiet community of older folks. Nice golf courses, good restaurants at Country Club. Tons of activities and clubs to join and participate. "

"Rented in this area for 11 years. All amenities are outstanding for ages 50 and over. Parks close, great hiking, great golf, gorgeous vistas, outstanding photo ops, and above all, wonderful and friendly people."

"Rio Verde is a wonderful place to live so long as you have reliable transportation -- the closest shopping is in Fountain Hills, 10 miles away. There is no public transportation. That said, the area is clean, safe, very walkable, and there is a community center to die for -- pool, gym, library, game room, etc."

"Absolutely beautiful with desert surroundings and mountain views to die for. Safest place in Az for retirees, no crime and our own fire dept with emts. Drive your golf cart to four golf courses."
