About this House

This quality log-cabin on 36 acres will make you fall in love with how well it fits into its surroundings, and make you want to move in tomorrow with its turn-key setup. This is a 'real' log cabin--properly built and lovingly maintained. The first floor features a cook's kitchen with hickory cabinets, butcher-block countertops, and a propane range. The great room gives you a sweeping view out over 640 acres of adjacent State-Trust public land. The master bedroom is inviting with Juniper-tree filled views from the window and an en-suite bath that has a soaking tub. The comfortable guest room will invite your guests to come for another visit. The guest bath also serves as the home's utility room, with the washer and propane dryer along with 3/4 bath amenities. But the surprise-bonus on this home is the second-story full-height 520 sq. ft. loft with knotty pine floors that could sleep a passel of people! This off-grid home also has solid infrastructure. The solar system is robust and solid, with a back-up generator with 500 gallon (leased) propane tank for those extended cloudy days we sometimes get in the winter. The well is a strong producer. The heat is no-fuss with individual propane units in the bedrooms and a propane-powered fireplace in the great room. Pictures truly do not do this home justice. It needs to be seen to be understood.

  • Anitalynriggins
"There are dirt hills to take your dogs to play in, they can dig, chase things. There are also dog parks within a 5-10 minute drive. "
  • Hkunz93308
"It’s lower income and not everyone can clean up their yards. There are several small businesses sprinkled around the neighborhood. We’ve been here five years and it’s been pretty peaceful."
  • Veronikajoleedunbar
"Just visited the area. I would like visit again in the near future. Thank you. Have a great day!!!!!"
  • Hkunz93308
"There’s a huge “hotrod” crowd, not just the ones in the magazine, but cars that people have kept alive by the residents. Mild climate relative to Phoenix and Denver."
  • Anitalynriggins
"A lot of people walk their dogs, kids ride their bikes, and it’s been a pretty safe neighborhood. There are a lot of dogs that bark all night"
  • Anitalynriggins
"People walk their dogs all the time here, I do actually see kids riding their bikes and playing, or selling lemonade on the corner"
  • Joni Sharp
"Very quite safe area, we all watch out of each other. Been here over 6 years and have the best neighbors ever. "
  • Trulia User
"my neighborhood is well maintained. there are stores nearby and good job opportunities. also there are sports available for children."
  • Cynthia T.
"I lived out of city limits for 6 years. Kingman was once a little town with Stockton Hill Road once being two lanes and all dirt. In coming back now after a 3 year absence, I can't say I am much impressed. The drug problem is still widespread, Birdland looks worse than ever, and houses are being built as fast and as close together as possible. But where are good paying jobs? Where are cultural experiences? Where is diversity? Where is industry and city planning? Kingman has potential, but the sudden influx of those fleeing California shows the town is growing out, not up. Kingman needs long range goals to retain its new residents and attract others. I hope the next time I visit for a sustained period of time that I feel better about this town. "
  • Edie I.
