4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school, 1st grade to 5th and it was such a great experience, the teachers were all so nice and the environment was very welcoming. Some rules and regulations they have seem unnecessary and it has changed a lot since they changed principals, but it is still an amazing school and everyone makes it very easy to learn.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Cedarcrest Jr High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school isn’t horrible it’s just a regular school. How well you do in your classes depends on you as a student and how well you do socially that’s also up to you. Not all teachers are great but there are a few who are very kind hearted and they really care about the students. I know a couple teachers who have advocated for me when I wanted to redo a test or when there’s an argument. Fights aren’t really a problem since the school personnel does pretty well in breaking things up :before: they escalate. Most fights happen after school and off campus but that isn’t necessarily the schools fault. Making friends can be hard at first but throughout the year everyone kinda falls into their own friend groups. I’ve never had any disciplinary problems but I have to say that the personal don’t really handle most cases well. If your the type of person who’s always getting in trouble there will be many consequences thay will just pile up if you keep doing it, but for the most part if you behave well and get in minimal trouble everything will be fine. Education wise I think that most teachers are good at what they teach but they can get frustrated when the students don’t wanna cooperate. For the most part I think this is a pretty good school, how things go for you depend on your choices.Student Review11mo ago14 Reviews - Spanaway Lake High School

"No majors issues in the 3 years at my house but crime does happen. We have had packages missing from our front porch. Doesn’t feel like a tight knit community either. "

"Pick up after your dogs and don’t leave turds on the sidewalk or neighbors yards. They might poop on your doorstep as karma."

"I've raised my 15yr old daughter in this home. I no longer live here but visit my mother often. When I lived here it was a Great neighborhood. It's actually not that bad, there are just a few unneighborly people 😬 living in the area. They come & go, but most people living here have been here @ least 10yrs. Which is Great 😀, like a family on our block. Kids went to school together, and still have a close relationship with the neighbors till this day!!! 😁💖🏘️"

"Dog owners would like that there are large dog runs with doggie bins & bags. Dog owners would not like that some people don't pick up after their dogs. "

"They wouldn't like all the loose dogs running around all year round. And owners let their dogs bark at all hours of the night. "

"I’ve only seen a couple loose dogs maybe 2 times since I’ve lived here , that’s almost 2.5 years. I’d say if there’s non running around it’s a good sign. If there are dogs loose running around that’s not good. But not here in Spanaway."

"I’ve lived in my home for 20 years, and put two sons through school here. Many very positive changes have taken place in that time. Expanded roads, beautiful homes built where dilapidated ones once stood, new schools built, new businesses opened to service the community. "

"Its pretty easy to get around. Food and coffee is close by. So are the schools. I’ve lived in the area for over 25 years. Overall it’s a good community. The district needs to pass bonds to keep up with the people moving into the area but other than that I’ve enjoyed my time here "
