There is grocery store nearby for any quick items, and the major shopping area in Wausau is only a 10 minute drive. If you're looking for a major nightlife, you will need to take cabs to get to the areas of town with bars, there are 2 within walking distance, but it's a bit of a walk to the more upscale one. There are a number of parks in the area that are perfect for kids."
