My son came to homer center with Autism, SPD, speech delays, and cognitive delays. We moved so my son could stay in homer center after Ben Franklin caused my son to miss out on a whole year of school. After finally switching schools and seen the improvements he was making we knew he was happy and didn't want to send him back to ben Franklin. The teachers are amazing and very understanding and keep in contact with you. Homer center is such a great school for kids with special needs!

"There is a local dog park and several trails to walk your dog on. There is also a private fenced in dog area that you can book for your dog. There is also a great force free dog trainer in the area."

"I’ve lived here for five years. People in the community are friendly, but locals are a close knit group. The area is quiet and safe and has good schools. Local housing is a bit dated, but it is quite affordable provided you don’t build. For someone who has grown up in a small town and has a family there is plenty to do. For someone more accustomed to city living we are quite a ways from nightlife and shopping. "
