  • Gideonweyl
"it's a jungle out here... not a single redeeming quality... if you're contemplating residency do yourself a favor and stop now. "
  • Gideonweyl
"I just moved here; I just moved to Oakland. I'm a Philly boy so I'm used to urban environs, and was expecting Oakland to be somewhat similar to east coat cities. I was wrong. Oakland is beautiful, bustling - yet calm, and chalk full of culture. "
  • Nadia T.
"There's too much traffic since there is construction going on."
  • Nadia T.
"There's diversity around the area and in the schools. Sometimes they have a block party to raise awareness about safer streets."

"The commute is typical. There's lots of traffic and some speedy drivers."
  • Daniel S.
"Calm and smooth. There's typically not a lot a traffic."
  • Daniel S.
"The people around the neighborhood are friendly and kind. We have stores within walking distance and also three churches in close range."
  • Gerald H.
"It's one of the oldest and better neighborhoods in East Oakland!"
  • josechesmore
"I adore the trees. This landscape is extremely rare in Oakland. The trees run perpendicular to Havenscourt, and there aren't many scary jail like fences in this neighborhood. Plus the community is really active here. There are approximately 27 community members that are very active in this small community. Oh watch out if you litter, we will all get your attention. Anyways, just to keep it short, its a great neighborhood. "
