Grandparent of a 3rd grade boy. My grandson started school in a parochial school, K & 1. When he moved to Stockbridge (with his mother), we were not certain if the level of education would continue in the public school. He entered Smith already performing well in math, reading, science, and his favorite, history. After a year and 1 marking period, we are very happy that we were guided to Smith for his education. He has maintained a very high level of performance and maybe even exceeded where he would be had he remained in the parochial school. This was not the case when our daughters moved from the parochial school to a different public school system. We are very happy and excited for our son/grandson and the future prospects he has for exceeding academically.
