8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve attended another school in the district where they lacked communication between staff and parents but not here. Don’t judge this school by its location, the teachers and students seem genuinely happy to show up every day and we’ve not had any issues with safety concerns. I’ve observed while attending “crafts with parents” and have seen the teachers taking the time to address each student if concerns and compliment their hard work. Some have been there for 15+ years but still enjoy the growth they help their students achieve. Both of my kids have said they’ve preferred this school over the other and I’d have to agree!Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Joyce Clark Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a joke. My child went here for 7th grade and I am know homeschooling him. My child's glasses where stolen last year while he was at school. There was witnesses who saw kids playing with my child's glasses. I had to call the police and file a police report for the principal to finally admit she heard kids' where playing with my child's glasses but that she couldn't do anything about it. My kid went a whole week missing school because everytime I called and asked what can be done because he doesn't have his glass and he can not read without them and I was told there was nothing they could do. So I kept him home for a week. I called everyday to try to talk to the principal and she was always to busy. It wasn't until I filed a police report the following week she even called me. Finally, I get replacement glasses and he goes back to school just to be given a lunch detention because was supposedly late to school on the day my husband went in with him to the front office about his missing glasses. They marked him as tardy, and gave him a lunch detention without talking too either of his parents first. I do not recommend this school or any school in this district. They are nothing but your child's first bully. Its disgusting.Parent Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Buena High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 3 sons attend this high school. Now that we live in a different state and have kids at a different high school I can compare. Buena has some great teachers, Mrs. Adams the biology teacher is fantastic. Buena’s engineering program is great too. Buena’s athletic program is good. My biggest complaint is that they could not offer the AP programs that most high schools around the country do. I think they lack the teachers. When my boys were there they didn’t offer any foreign language above year 2. AP physics and AP chemistry are not offered. If you wanted to take Calculus they partnered with the community college for dual enrollment. The problem with that is if you go to an out of state college they won’t accept your credits, we would have much rather them offer AP. AP scores go everywhere. They did offer AP language, but not AP literature. So make sure you check out the class offerings before you commit. The environment at the school is not great either. It’s overcrowded and lots of bad things happening according to my boys.Parent Review4mo ago27 Reviews - Check out schools near 18 E James Dr.

"I dont trust management. Given there is no security of your apartment that the staff that is untrustworthy can enter your apartment anytime your not at home."

"Not easy because there is no bus system to go shopping or to the doctors office. You have to get a taxi cab if you don’t have a drivers license or a vehicle or if you are old and sick."

"Beautiful scenery, warm people, and a cultural hub for the surrounding areas. This area is amazing to live in, I’ve been here for 8 years and love to be here for most of it. We have amazing restaurants, businesses, and resources- and it’s only an hour and a half drive to the nearest “big city.” I definitely recommend Sierra Vista if you’re looking for a home."

"I've been here for 6 months, there is bus service but only until 6pm and only until Saturday. No service on Sunday. But still, there is a shuttle service you can call but they're only in service until 8pm. That on is called Roadrunner. There is another one which will take you to the casinos, Tucson, airports and local destinations. You have to look around in order to find what you want and need."
