10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Grandview Middle School. We moved to this area after being at Rice Lake Elementary in Maple Grove, MN for years. The Osseo School District chose to bus kids in and create and overflow and slow down in the classrooms so we decided to move to an area with a better school and Grandview is terrific! The teachers are very helpful and my child is thriving in this success driven school. My child has flourished in this new school and its opportunities. The teachers are always available for help and they really care about your student.Parent Review11y ago1 Reviews - Hilltop Primary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my two children have attended Hilltop from kindergarten on, and it’s impossible to compare it to any other school. While the academic accolades speak for themselves here are a few examples of where the emotional intelligence of the teachers and staff really shine. Firstly, the care in selecting a teacher whose personality and teaching style matches your child makes an immediate impact on a child’s experience, all of my kids teachers have been handpicked for their personalities! So much learning is done outside and thru play, my kids get to regularly go on outside walks to the property to learn science and nature! When my kids were in 1st and 2nd grade (midst Covid) they would get homesick sometimes and there teachers would let them go to each other for a quick hug to boost their spirits during the day!Special accolades to mrs hoffstead, both my children had her and she should write the book on how to do it, she was just made to be a teacher and every interaction with her is positive! Special shout out to the school nurse, mrs cries-she is a master of discerning real sick from sad or scared, and she never made me feel like a bad mom when she’s called me if my kids were in her office. Lastly, but not least Mr Mach is a humble genius. As the principal he knows every kid and all the parents, he has made hilltop a premier learning destination! If you are lucky enough to go to hilltop, you are lucky enough!Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Mound-Westonka High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool and sports coaches will not address racism and bullying. They are just as guilty about bullying and mistreatment of others. Very cliquey school with the students and staff. If you aren’t a white kid from a rich family, good luck on succeeding here. This school has been nothing but a nightmare. Brought issues to counselor, coaches, principle and nothing was ever addressed. Emails and phone calls will either go unanswered or blame put on my child.Parent Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 17XX Eagle Ln.

"We are more like extended family than neighbors. We check on each other and watch each other's kids. Help each other with car repairs and other things that need to be fixed. "

"We’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6.5 years and love the lake life feel. Being 3 blocks from the lake and public beach it’s like we are living on the lake. "

"People drive around the neighborhood speeding when kids could be playing. Especially when the sun blinds you at sunrise and sunset. It is hard to see things in or near the road until it could possibly be too late. Otherwise, it is a friendly neighborhood. We feel safe leaving doors unlocked cars and doors to our home. "

"Mound is so quick and easy to get anywhere in the metro. We love it here. Anytime of the year, it is great driving around Lake Minnetonka. It has such beautiful scenery. "

"Commuting in this small area is easy, but getting out to the city is slow going. To get out to major grocery stores or shopping, it is mostly 2 lane roads. "

"We are surrounded by Lake Minnetonka so there is a lot of recreational activities that involve water, like boating or jet skiing. 20-30 min from Minneapolis. It can be tricky to get places in the winter because there are only a handful of routes to take and they all are full of curves or hills. "

"I moved away from Mound 11 months ago and miss it. Such a wonderful combination of safety, water sports, great bike trail, easy access to great restaurants like Lord Fletchers on the lake and others in Wayzata and Excelsior. Very low taxes for the benefit of the area with award winning schools. "

"This is a great area for families as the schools are just fantastic and the recreation is so family friendly. Take the trails for hours with your dogs or your kids on bikes. Or park your boat at a city dock and spend your summer evenings on the water with them both. "

"I am a realtor that has been marketing homes in this area for over 35 years! Woods, water and wildlife make the area a serene and picturesque place to live with just minutes to the beach, fishing, sailing, boating, all an added bonus. Great restaurants and entertaining nearby!"
