4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers My daughter had for the most part never connected with her. She was bullied a lot and the problems were never resolved though the counselor tried. The principle is horrible. There was more than one occasion where I had an argument with her and that has never happened to me with kids in school for 15 years. My daughter switched schools and has been so happy since. I do not recommend this school.Parent Review12y ago2 Reviews - Crenshaw Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family absolutely loved the school and believe its a better learning experience for our kids than a regular boring traditional school. This is what schools should be , this is what we want our kids schools to be like . And we're very happy this is available for our kids .Parent Review5mo ago11 Reviews - McKinley High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePCMS is the perfect blend. Our son is thriving academically, but also spends time learning about the world, art, and music. Best of all, he's allowed to move! The Montessori environment allows kids to work at his/her own pace and learn independence.Parent Review4y ago25 Reviews - Choices Alternative School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from Choices in 2006. I am extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to complete my high school education. I was not heading down the right path and Choices gave me an opportunity to correct and excel in life. 13 years later and I am a successful IT Professional in the Army with an Associates degree, multiple industry certifications, 2 articles published in technical journals, and 3 classes away from completing my B.S in Cyber Security. Choices truly gave me an opportunity to change my life.Other Review6y ago1 Reviews - Canton Arts Academy @ Summit

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was encouraged to bring my child to this school for the CHAP program. There is nothing accelerated at this school with the exception of 30 minus of "intense" at the end of a day. Children are not encouraged in their own strengths and the classrooms are over crowded. Trying to get updates on grades or progress outside of report cards is almost impossible.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 17th St NW.

"I’ve lived here for 5 years and love my neighborhood. There are instances where I deal with litter being thrown in my yard and the street, and it is slowly but surely dissipated."

"There are a lot of dogs in this area. I don’t own one but I see them often. All the dogs I’ve seen have been leashed and very friendly. "

"We have a beautiful park and a community garden. Every July there is a block party where all food and drinks are free along with entertainment and jump toys for the kids. It’s a wonderful event. In October there is a trunk or treat event to keep our kids entertained and safe. The neighbors communicate and there is a meeting held every month as well as a newsletter and website. It’s a great place to live. "

"There needs to be receptacles available for the dog poop. I do not like dogs doing their business in my yard and their owners not picking it up. There are others who share my same sentiment."

"The neighborhood is just that... a neighborhood! There is a wonderful park located in the center which includes swings, a playground, picnic tables with charcoal grills, a water fountain, about 6 frisbee/disc golf baskets, and a "Little Library". They have a neighborhood Association with a monthly meeting, a block party in the Summer (which was fabulous! Especially for small children), a community garden, "Trunk or Treat" & more! For it's affordability especially it is a great "starter" neighborhood and I would definitely recommend it!! "

"There is a neighborhood park with swings, a playset, a "library", like 5-8 frisbee/disc golf baskets, picnic tables and charcoal grills, and a H2O fountain. This brings out a lot of neighborhood children... I would like to see more involved parents, but in a general sense I do see many more than I have seen in other areas that I have resided. "

"Nothing. You hear gunshots and people yelling sometimes. There’s been a dead skunk rotting in an alley way for a month. "
