I have tried to insert myself as much as possible to be involved in my children's classrooms, and it has been a struggle. And there are unfortunately no extra curricular things for the kids: no music, no art, no second language classes. My kids come home telling me which teachers were yelling in the lunchroom or car line that day. However, there are teachers that are going to be harder on the student to help push them and prepare them for what college is going to be like. If they need help at any point or time as long as I ask for it they will receive it. All of the staff is super friendly, the lunches are very very good, especially for school food.I have stated that the teachers care about the students and they really really do. The school runs by a five block schedule, for full length blocks and one skinny used for test prep or remediation.
