8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCooper has been a really good school for my daughter. Her teachers were supportive, kind, and truly dedicated to helping students grow. They taught responsibility and independence in a way that really made a difference for her. The front office staff was always welcoming and helpful, and we consistently felt cared for by the school community. The only area that fell short for us was PE. If a student isn’t naturally athletic, the PE teachers don’t seem to offer the same level of respect, encouragement, or kindness. This was disappointing, especially compared to the wonderful experience we had with the rest of the staff.Overall, Cooper provided a strong, supportive environment for my daughter, and we are grateful for the many positive experiences she had there.Parent Review4mo ago15 Reviews - Langley High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageClass of 2021 here, part of the special education system with ADHD + Dyslexia. The special education team was apathetic and disinterested at best and traumatic and ableist at worst. The team had fought against me taking certain classes and fought against me working towards an advanced depolama. Too biased and a bit unprofessionally mean to certain students. I’ve caught too many scoffs, rolling eyes, and ignoring my questions. Not to mention my intelligence was being debated during parent teacher conferences, so much so that a psychiatrist had to be present, but ultimately I decided to represent myself during these meetings. How are you to scoff and roll your eyes at a child with learning challenges? The classes that the IEP team strongly advised me against taking ended up being the most motivating and accommodating class settings purely out of the teachers own kindness towards the student and passion for their position.IEP team, please save your frustrations and negative attitudes and do not put it onto neurodivergent students. They aren’t stupid and can sense your anger.Do your job like how you described in the interview process and treat these kids with more care and kindness. They’re in the phase where everything you do will affect them for life.Other Review1y ago46 Reviews - Spring Hill Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 7 years old kids was dropped off in wrong bus stop and it was her second day using the school bus. Spoke with school rep, they told me that school transportation is separate entity they don't have control over transportation . School rep provided me transportation phone number, I called transportation they told me that 7 year old kid should know where to get off in their second day of using school bus. Bus drivers do not have list for the first few days of school where to drop off the kid. This mistake could have irreversible effect on parents and child if something would have happened to the kid. BIG trauma to kid and parents. FYI: School should have better coordination mechanism in place to force separate entity ((transportation)) to follow common sense guidelines.Parent Review8mo ago35 Reviews - Check out schools near 1761-1761 Three Old Meadow Rd.

"Many sidewalks, parks, close drive to activities, grocery stores, easy access to DC via metro, vehicle, bike, or under. Easy access to DCA and IAD via metro or driving. Numerous social opportunities locally and regionally, local traffic is not terrible. "

"I lived and worked in the Tyson's Corner area and LOVED it! I lived in the Fountains of McLean, which was in easy walking distance to just about everything. With quick access to the metro, bus, and, (soon to be) via the metro, the airport, there really is no reason to drive (and fight that DC traffic). If you do need to drive, Tyson's is the place to be as you can get get to just about everywhere in the DC area without getting jammed on 95/495 traffic. The the extra "no commute time" I was able to enjoy all the local amenities my condo had including the pool and - due to location - Tyson's Corner shopping and restaurants. Last (but not least), the Fountains of McLean was one of those rare condos that not only allowed pets but had lots of space for the ol' doggo to get his daily walk. Finally, although I didn't have any myself, I have heard that the school system in McLean is second to none! I miss you already, Fountains of McLean!"

"It’s safe and upscale. Best school zone in Virginia. Tyson’s corner is just 5min drive and both DCA and IAD air ports are with in 30min drive. DC is just 20minutes away as well. "

"Would like to have a gated/fenced dog park area with a partition for small dogs near the chain bridge/old dominion side of mclean. Con, a lot of the neighborhoods do not have sidewalks and you must walk your dogs in the street."
