"McMinnville always has some great Christmas activities which makes the Christmas season all the more better. Last year that even had an ice-skating rink."

  • Shannon A.

  • Autumn Stout
"Hardly any sidewalks. Most the people are rude and strung out on something. Stray dogs/cats everywhere. No public transportation."
  • Rnptodd
"I have lived in my neighborhood for twenty four years and I absolutely love it.Everyone around here is super nice and friendly."
  • mycah c.
"McMinnville sucks for raising its a black hole nothing but troubles and drama not to mention drugs nothing for growing minds to do but rot. law is crooked criminals are 10x that it's like a functioning hell "
  • stephanie A.
"Fair place to live. Not many activities during the week. Weekends during good weather months often have many events. Local pool and sports fields. "
  • Klinger
"We moved from Nashville to McMinnville 15 years ago; we have found it to be a quiet, friendly, safe rural community. "
  • Travis6472
"I lived here before the house was sold on 5/27/07. It has been the best place I have lived so far, I wish so bad that I could go back to it. McMinnville is by far the best place to go, if you want to be out away from all of the city lights and noise. It's peaceful, quiet, so gorgeous, and the people are very nice. I enjoyed watching the mountain lions, deer, and other wildlife on the property. It's very nice and spacious too, you were never too close to anyone else and no one is invading your privacy either."
  • Jtcunningham
"This is a great area to live in. Everyone is friendly but doesn't bother you when not wanted. I love this community. Schools and stores are very close and within walking distance. "
  • Cmtwx123
"I lived in McMinnville for 7 years with my family before taking a new job in Oklahoma. I was not able to rate the schools because our family home schooled, but there is a good support network for home school families. My neighborhood was just across the river from downtown - very convenient. Our neighborhood, Westwood, was active. In the last 5 yrs, 4 of the 7 Aldermen were from the neighborhood. The city has invested in their past while paving the way for their future. Downtown is active, beautiful and has nice shops and restaurants. Check out the 8-week Friday night summer concert series called Main Street Live! featuring a variety of bands from the southeast. The nearby river has many recreational activities and is close to two fabulous scenic state parks - Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island. Cumberland Caverns provides an interesting diversion. The Parks and Recreation facilities (ball fields, gym, pool) are excellent for a city of 12,000. Tons of golf courses exist around the area. The largest industrial employer is Bridgestone-Firestone, but several smaller industries are up and coming with several companies on the verge of larger productions. Ben Lomand Communications is the 5th largest telephone cooperative in the US and has fiber throughout the county for High Speed Internet connections. Motlow Community College has a new modern campus and other larger 4-year universities are about 30 minutes away. The hospital is modern and very capable with good doctors of all specialties. If you like landscaping, McMinnville and Warren County grow it all in some 500 area nurseries. The city is located half-way between Nashville and Chattanooga. The airports are easy access in either city. Murfreesboro and Cookeville are the closest larger cities with all types of shopping and restaurants...and the traffic. McMinnville is served by 4 lane access to I-40 and I-24. McMinnville is a safe rural community with active citizens that want to keep and improve their lives,"
  • M J.
"We were skeptical about buying this house because of the middle school down the street but traffic is not bad at all - even at drop off and pick up time. Neighbors are quite and keep to themselves. Have had no problems with crime or loud disturbances. My only complaint is the sidewalks don't go far and we like to go for walks a lot. We usually walk down to the middle school and walk the track at the football field."
