Pros: it is a smaller school - everyone knows almost everyone Title one program is great. Most teachers are really there for the children. Many sport programs Cons: everyone knows almost everyone Bullying is extremely high Teachers say they'll work with you but dont. No notifications about accidents or failing grades till after the fact. My son attends this school currently. He is bullyed constantly. Teachers laugh it off or tell the kids to settle down. He's been harassed and picked on physically and verbally. Even during school hours (another kid made a vine about my son saying he was gay and posted it online... My child didn't even know what that ment). He will notice others getting bullied and will stand up for them just to have teachers yell at him to stay out of it. Zero bully tolorance in Wisconsin... But in Birnamwood it's OK. Forget everything you read in the handbook about bullying and harassment. Looking into alternative schools. When a child comes home crying more than being happy something must be done.
