"Just quaint and simple. Many stores but it is a small town. There is no transportation here or anywhere else"
  • Sgabriella21
"People are very friendly. Downtown area is growing. I’ve been living in Cairo since I was born. It’s a great community to start a family and has wonderful schools."
  • Vanessa J. W.
"I have my own car and the commute is great. I can easily walk downtown to stores. I can also walk around my neighborhood."
  • Lena W.
"I've lived in the Cairo area for almost 10 years It is truly a wonderful place to live, raise a family, and grow older with someone you love. 《♡》"
  • Lena W.
"I've been in Cairo for 10 years, you'll never find better people. At first it was hard to slooow down to the pace here, but once I did, now I'm fighting to remain here! wish they had more handicapped accessible units! You really must try Maryland Fried Chicken! This branch is the very best! Want a great steak? Mr. Chick's Shopping: Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Bob & Jeff's IGA, Piggly Wiggly, Ms Myrts City Trends, Cairo has lots of little shops too.. plenty of places to spend your dollars.. Work? If you are willing to, we have some big industrial places.. some a bit out but just a short drive, farming is a big part of our town, lots of farms around. "
  • Lena W.
"I've lived in this awesome neighborhood for ten years. I've found the people here to be very friendly and embracing even of strangers! The high school team is called the Syrupmakers is reference to the cane syrup company that once was the main employer of this area. They still honor their hometown hero like Jackie Robinson. It is precious to see Martin Luther King Jr Day celebrated by all nationalities especially in light of all the way society is today. Not to say Cairo doesn't have a history, it does. However, I believe it is slowly overcoming the past and looking towards a very bright future! "
  • Jeff W.
"Cairo GA has the best of two worlds, first the quite and privacy you want living in the country with good amenities in Cairo itself. second this home is a 25 minute drive from the major city of Tallahassee Florida offering extensive shopping and restaurants as well as 2 four year universities and a junior college."
