Love this school. The staff is wonderful and the children are happy and learning. The secretary is a legend and will do whatever it takes to ensure that the school runs smoothly.

I must say that the administrators and staff do not abide by things that they say. They hold no support for teachers when it comes to discipline. There are behavioral issues and they are not taken care of, but rather over looked.

Failure to comply with 401 classification with our special needs child. We had to pull our child from Ivory and place her in a private school. Principal refused to work with us, refused simple requests to assist our special needs child. (Example: Our child needed to sit in the front of the class and would need some downtime, if a meltdown occurs.) Our child is an honor roll student. I think this school might work better for people who are well-known within this click-ish town. Otherwise, you will find it to be a struggle if both parents work. I think the key is to monitor them closely and make many surprise visits.

My child was constantly bullied at school and on the bus. I ended up taking my kids off the bus due to abuse and the school doing nothing about it. I think alot of my child struggles at the start of the year are ties to being bullied on the bus. The school when he refused to do work all day would make a call at the end of the day over during school hours when something more could be done. When asked to send that work home they would tell me they don't do that. I offered many solutions for us to try but they stuck to end of school day calls and suspension. I hate they allowed my child to disrupt the class and other students by refusing to do their work and truly punishing them. I hate they refused to send the work home so I could force them to do it. However once they was pulled off the bus after 2 middle school kids stomped on their chest he started to participate more in school. I am sad this school allows students to refuse to do work with no punishment and allows kids to constantly be bullied

Camden Fairview Middle School as well as the High School have great environment for students to learn and grow.
