The Havens teachers and administrators are excellent. My children (kindergarten and 2nd grade) are excited to go to school each day and have learned so much. The school benefits greatly from a very involved parent community who provide so much enrichment to the school. The school has been very supportive of the social emotional learning that is required in elementary school. Havens has incredibly caring, creative, and skilled staff that my children are very lucky to learn from.

This school has a ton of dedicated teachers and students who study with serious grit, despite the fact that a lot of them come from very privileged families. I have experienced this school as the parent of three very different children, one from another culture. In all situations, the kids were treated with care by teachers and staff. We also didn't experience any bullying or racism or exclusionary behaviors. I wish the school took more chances to build project-based learning and internships into the school experience -- for a school with a lot creative, smart teachers, the pedagogy tends to be traditional (lots of APs ,etc) in ways that don't always engage or challenge kids fully or prepare them for the rough and tumble world of careers. Luckily, most kids find a spot on the journalism team or robotics or some other club that creates extraordinary learning experiences outside the classroom.

this is my first year and its amazing here the staff are really nice too
