"Strawberry Festival is always fun. Vanceboro is just an old sweet and southern town. Everyone is super friendly. "
  • Keysjowan69
"It’s quiet and nice I have no problems with the people I live around I’m just ready to move to a new location trying to buy"
  • Christie H.
"There is nothing here. No parks. No youth activities. It’s very quiet, so that’s an upside. The police are very vigilant. So that’s good. Other than that, there’s not much to do. If you want a retirement place, it’s perfect. For the younger generation, not so much. "
  • Mary M.
"Small town living at its best. There is no public transportation and very few jobs, but there are jobs 15-25 miles from home that are about a 30 minute commute."
  • Ernholiday e.
"It’s nothing that I really don’t like about my neighbors or neighborhood. I like quite neighborhoods but friendly "
  • amenshop
"Having spent the last 6 years living in Vanceboro, I have found the town to be a very nice small town. Its quiet and friendly, not on the beaten path, yet close enough to New Bern or Greenville to visit. Yoders is THE BEST Place to go in Vanceboro, for real baked goods, delicious breakfast and lunch, and lots and lots of gear for anything you can think of! They have everything from Horse Barns to Carhartt clothing, seeds and baby chickens too! "
  • amenshop
"Lots of land with a feeling of freedom. Low taxes, small town, I would recommend Yoders for breakfast or lunch everyday! Regular folks! For shopping its a Quick trip into New Bern or North on to Greenville. If you like peace and quite this is a great place to just ..be."
  • Helen
"if you want quiet country living, with the stars in the night sky so clear you feel you can touch them, this is the area for you. If you want an area where your kids, and dogs can run free, where deer are a frequent visitor, where neighbors call you by name and really care about you, this is the area for you. If you want big city shopping, community bus service and big city amenities, look elsewhere. This is fresh air country living at it's best."
